The Sound of Easter Vienna: Austria

Our purpose is to share the Sound of Easter in music and words with all kinds of people in Vienna.

Musicians will partner with local churches in Vienna, the beautiful city of music, to share Easter hope with old and young, rich and poor, Austrians and foreigners.

Ministry Details

Orientation, training, prayer, Bible input, rehearsing, team building and outreaches.
The musicians and outreach partners will go out in small groups and play in various locations – from public places to homeless centres, old people’s homes to churches – to share the Sound of Easter in music and words.
On Easter Monday, participants are free to explore more of Vienna (if their schedule allows) before travelling home.

Participant Profile

Musicians with a heart for evangelism. Professional musicians; music students; gifted amateur musicians (classical, jazz, pop). Musicians will be asked to share some examples of their music portfolio during the application process.
Non-musicians with a heart for evangelism, prayer & singing are also welcome: to do outreaches as a singing group and to support the musicians in praying, handing out literature and sharing the Gospel with people.
Participants should be able to speak English reasonably well. If you can speak German, too, this is wonderful.
You should be flexible, able to work in a team and have a teachable heart.


Participants will be staying with local hosts.


All meals are included from Saturday, 24 March evening meal to Monday, 2 April breakfast.


Participants arrange and pay for their own travel to and from Vienna. Fly to Vienna (VIE) airport. Please try to arrive on 24 March between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. Public transport for Sunday-Sunday is covered by the participants’ fee. Participants pay for travel on arrival and departure days.


Special diets and allergies need to be communicated before applying to the outreach.

Each participant is encouraged to have their own travel insurance and needs to be fit to use public transport in Vienna and walk around.
