Baseball/Softball Summer Ministry Internship: Hungary

Working together with coaches from the OM Sportslink baseball/softball club and the Hungarian Baseball/Softball Association in training with and playing with Hungarian baseball players. Especially share your faith in Jesus with them through natural relationships and camps.

There will be different opportunities to help our club teams with training, coaching and playing. You will participate in the practices, training camps and tournaments of the Hungarian Little League club and national teams. There are also opportunities to help with field development and umpiring.

Ministry Details

During the summer you will be involved in baseball and softball outreaches in Hungary. Supervision will be provided by Sportslink staff and allow you to experience different aspects of Baseball sports ministry in Hungary. The program will be varied and exciting.

Participant Profile

Love for baseball/softball and a desire to learn sports ministry and serve the sports ministry in Hungary. You need to be flexible and have a servant's heart. Coaching experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Accommodation:

OM Team house in Érd. During resident camps you will stay with players.

Food:

You will do your own cooking when in Érd, but during camps meals are arranged.

Travel:

You will be picked up at the Budapest airport (aiport code BUD), train station or international bus station and transported by OM Sportslink staff from wherever you arrive. How to find us: Wait for person with an OM sign. After that you will be taken where ever you need to go. You will also be taught how to use public transport. If you have your drivers license and can drive manual transmission you will be asked to drive. If you do not know manual transmission driving please learn before you come.

Health:

Since you will be doing coaching, playing, umpiring and field work, you need to be in good health.

Visa:

EU nationals, North Americans, and many other countries do not require a visa but you can check with their local OM office if you are not sure.

Notes:

Arrival date can be between May 15 and June 15. The departure is flexible sometime in August. Any additional days will cost 30 USD per day.
