Play Therapist: South Africa

Are you a Christian who would like to use your professional skills as a Play Therapist to help children in need? 

If so, we would love for you to join OM South Africa's AIDS Hope Team.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Commitment Length: 1-2 years (Full Time)

Due to death of one or both parents and poverty, etc., many children with whom we work are delayed emotionally, mentally, and physically. 

You would be able to help these children process trauma, abuse, anger, and grief through play therapy.


Requirements:

  • A deep love and commitment to Jesus
  • Minimum qualifications for a Play Therapist with some experience
  • Good level of spoken English
  • Willingness to learn about the local culture
  • Culturally sensitive
  • Willingness to be involved in other aspects of AIDS Hope ministry
  • Good team player
  • Loving and compassionate, especially towards those who are struggling
