Arts Ministry Administrator - OM Austria: Austria

Do you have a passion for evangelism among musicians/ artists and outreach through music and other art forms? Do you consider yourself a gifted administrator and do you enjoy this work? Then come and be part of our ‘Kunst und Kultur’ arts team in the beautiful cultural capital of Vienna!

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Commitment Length: 1-2 years (Full Time)

As an arts team, our current focus is on evangelism and discipleship among classical musicians and on sharing hope through music with people from all backgrounds. In partnership with other musicians, churches and Christian organisations, we seek to shape Austrian society for Christ. We work with Christian artists (especially classical musicians) in Vienna, Austria and internationally, encouraging and equipping those artists to live holistically for the Gospel and by building bridges to artists and non-artists who do not yet know Jesus. We do this through prayer, Bible studies, orchestral and chamber concerts, artistic exhibitions, creative programmes for the homeless and refugees, having conversations over coffee!…There are opportunities for international fellowship and training through the OM Arts International (arts.om.org) network.

Your role would be to support the arts ministry team in practical ways, e.g. communicating locally and internationally regarding concerts and projects, updating the website, scanning in music, producing programme booklets, booking travel, recording ministry expenses. You will meet with the other two team members (both of whose background is in classical music) regularly to exchange information and for prayer and mutual encouragement.

If you are artistically gifted yourself, you can use this art form here to glorify God, to contribute to the team and to outreach projects.

Required character traits and skills:

  • You have a passion for God, for the arts and for people
  • You can speak and write excellent German and English (minimum level B1 in both)
  • You are servant-hearted
  • You are flexible
  • You like to work efficiently

Please note: all jobs/opportunities on this site are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.
