Assitant hospitality manager: Arabian Peninsula

The hospitality house is a home that is dedicated to providing Rest, Refreshment and Renewal to Kingdom Workers in the Arabian Peninsula and surrounding areas. The result is that workers can return to the field with renewed vision. We want it to be a safe, welcoming, God-honoring place.  The home is a ministry of OM, and directed by the Project Leader, who recruits staff, oversees their welfare and ensures funding needs are met through OM projects and guest donations.

  • Commitment Length: 2-3 years (Full Time)

It is essential that anyone interested in this position aligns themselves to the above vision for the house.
The position can be filled either by a couple or a single person, but the essential requirements of the candidate(s) is:

  • A committed and growing follower of Jesus
  • Gifted in hospitality with deep desire to serve people
  • Able to communicate courteously with guests requesting to stay
  • Flexible
  • An encourager and good listener
  • Good health
  • Unafraid of hard work six days a week
  • Willing to work in a cross-cultural team
  • Willingness to clean rooms and bathrooms and change beds.
  • Unafraid to cook for 30 people
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Excel
  • Willing to live in community on a small compound
  • Able to manage security issues associated with running a safe house

Subject to God’s will, we would like the candidate to anticipate serving at the Edge for a minimum of 2 years, ideally longer.

FINANCES
This is not a paid position and candidates are expected to raise support and contribute to the running of the house, as well as provide for their personal needs.  (Personal needs are likely to include owning and running a car, vacation and personal items.)
It is expected that a short trial period of service is the best way to prove compatibility of gifting and relationships prior to committing long term.
