Facilities and Maintenance Manager: Brazil

Are you practical and methodical? Are you good with details? Can you work on your own and get things done? OM Brazil needs someone to take care of our buildings and facilities, to ensure everything is in fit working condition, and that we are making the best use of our assets.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Commitment Length: 1-2 years (Full Time)

OM Brazil owns 2 properties and rents a third. The buildings incorporate offices, meeting rooms, dormitories, bathrooms, classrooms, storage, refectory, kitchens etc. We also own a vehicle. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, safety and inventory of all land, buildings, vehicles, furniture, fittings and equipment, plus services such as electricity, water, alarm etc. There is also an element of budgeting for costs, and planning for future changes or expansion.


  • Practical-minded and able to work with hands
  • Experience of building and/or mechanical maintenance would be beneficial
  • Practical experience of carpentry/plumbing/electrics etc would be an advantage.
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Proficient in Portuguese (or willing to learn)
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work with numbers and budgets
