Field Finance Officer (FFO): Brazil

We all have the responsibility of being good stewards of the resources that God gives to us, and good management our finances is vital for us at OM Brazil. We are looking for an experienced financial manager who has a heart for missions and a head for figures.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Commitment Length: 2-3 years (Full Time)

The Field Finance Officer is responsible for financial reporting, planning, accounting, auditing and management for the organisation. He or she will also be responsible for assigning tasks to other members of the Finance Department. The FFO is also responsible for assuring that the department adheres to the standard OM policies and processes, as well as complying with local laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Formal training in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Experience of responsibility in an accounting team
  • Knowledge of, and use of, Debits and Credits and nuances in a not-for-profit accounting system.
  • The ability to analyse financial statements (I&E and Balance Sheet) and to perform projections on proposed projects or initiatives that the Field Leadership is considering.
  • Prior experience with OM’s accounting software (PETRA) would be an advantage; if not, training will be provided.
  • Ability to represent OM Brazil to an internal or external financial auditor
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Proficient in English
  • Proficient in Portuguese (or willing to learn)
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
